Two arrested after drugs seized in Tamworth

TWO men have been arrested after police seized drugs in Tamworth.

Officers seized just over 500g of cocaine and 1.7kg of cannabis today (6th February).

Two men, aged 34 and 31, who are both from the Tamworth area, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:

"Both remain in custody while our enquiries continue."

Police are appealing for information after equipment was stolen from the site of the former Tamworth College.
